Scrap my above comment, I was only looking at the coloured designs at the time.
Looking at the greyscale ones, I like the first one for the size of the "Geo Hero" but I think the smiley-o sits too close to the rest of the letters and still needs to be nudged away a little bit. I like how the smiley-o sits on top of the "I" in the second one- I think unless you have it right above the "I" it might look like you meant to put it above the "I", but didn't measure it correctly. I think it's important that you consider that and either move it away more, or make it look intentional.
It wasn't initially clear that the smiley represented an "o" until I read the deviation title. As well as that, when the logo is scaled down it is difficult to know what "GEO" says- the G and the E looks very similar at that scale.
That much said, it looks lovely and it would certainly attract my eye if I was in the market to buy my one of my nieces of nephews a new game.
